Save Video from Twitter
On X, the video sits behind a player. Paste the post link and the online tool resolves the MP4 and audio track that the post actually carries.
Loading the online tool…
From a link to a file, in three steps.
- 01
Paste a public link
Copy a video page or public media URL and select Parse to see the formats available from the source.
- 02
Choose what to keep
Choose a video quality, audio format or available subtitles. Options depend on the source.
- 03
Save to your device
When the task is ready, select Save to device. File links expire, so save your copy promptly.
Formats and files
| Format | What you get |
|---|---|
MP4 | An MP4 with video and audio together; higher qualities may be fetched separately and merged. |
MP3 | The source audio track converted to MP3; the original recording is not improved. |
SRT | Caption tracks that already exist; videos without captions are not transcribed. |
Quality and formats depend on the source.
Get the right post link
The copy-link action on a post gives an address like x.com/user/status/id. The mobile share sheet may return a twitter.com domain instead; both work, but any share text attached to the link has to be removed.
What a post returns
X usually publishes one resolution per video, so that single option is all parsing can offer; a higher quality that is not in the list does not exist for that post. GIFs on X are stored as MP4, so they save as video files too.
Multi-video posts and threads
When a post carries several videos, parsing lists them in the order the source returns; save them one by one. Replies in a thread are separate links and must be pasted individually, because the tool does not crawl a thread automatically.
Which posts cannot be saved
Protected accounts, deleted posts, content shown only to signed-in users and region-restricted posts cannot be parsed from a public link. For those, use the desktop app and configure your own sign-in state; the online tool never reads your cookies.
A few things to know before you download.
Do I need an app or an account?
No installation or account is required. The online tool is for public links that do not require sign-in. For sources needing your own login state, use the desktop app on your device.
Which sources work?
Public content from X / Twitter, YouTube, Bilibili, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo and other supported sites, plus direct media URLs. Platform rules, region and sign-in requirements affect availability; every link is not guaranteed to work.
What happens to my files and tasks?
The online tool processes files on the server before offering a download to your device. Task history belongs to this browser session. Files are temporary; retention depends on the site configuration.
How high can the quality go?
The online tool offers only the formats and resolutions the source returns. Higher bitrates or resolutions cannot be invented, so a quality the source does not provide will not appear.
Can I save private or sign-in-only videos?
The online tool only handles public links that need no sign-in. For content that requires a signed-in session, use the desktop app and configure it on your own device.
Do I need an X account to save a video?
No. The online tool handles only public posts that need no sign-in; content behind a login is out of reach here, which is what the desktop app is for.
Why does a post show no formats?
Usually the post has only text or images, the video was deleted, or share text got mixed into the link. Confirm the link opens on its own, then copy the address again and retry.
Only save content you own or have permission to download.
