Save Video from Facebook

Public posts, Reels and Watch pages can all be pasted in. Facebook often keeps several resolutions of the same video, so pick the one you need after parsing.

Loading the online tool…

From a link to a file, in three steps.

  1. 01

    Paste a public link

Copy a video page or public media URL and select Parse to see the formats available from the source.

  2. 02

    Choose what to keep

Choose a video quality, audio format or available subtitles. Options depend on the source.

  3. 03

    Save to your device

When the task is ready, select Save to device. File links expire, so save your copy promptly.

Formats and files

FormatWhat you get
MP4An MP4 with video and audio together; higher qualities may be fetched separately and merged.
MP3The source audio track converted to MP3; the original recording is not improved.
SRTCaption tracks that already exist; videos without captions are not transcribed.

Quality and formats depend on the source.

Public posts, Reels and Watch

Links containing /videos/ or starting with /reel/ work directly. Short m.facebook.com links from the mobile share sheet parse too, and again the cleaner the link the more reliable the result.

Several resolutions for one video

Facebook often transcodes one video into several sizes, which is why the list may hold more than one entry. The top resolution means a larger file and a longer wait; a middle one is usually enough for passing a clip along.

Long videos, live replays and captions

Replays left after a live stream are handled like ordinary videos. An hour-long video is much slower than a short clip and gets closer to the session download limit; Facebook captions appear only when the source provides that track.

When a link will not parse

First check the post is visible in a signed-out browser: content limited to friends or a group cannot be reached from a public link at all. Then strip tracking parameters from the address and retry; most failures are settled at this point.

A few things to know before you download.

Do I need an app or an account?

No installation or account is required. The online tool is for public links that do not require sign-in. For sources needing your own login state, use the desktop app on your device.

Which sources work?

Public content from X / Twitter, YouTube, Bilibili, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo and other supported sites, plus direct media URLs. Platform rules, region and sign-in requirements affect availability; every link is not guaranteed to work.

What happens to my files and tasks?

The online tool processes files on the server before offering a download to your device. Task history belongs to this browser session. Files are temporary; retention depends on the site configuration.

How high can the quality go?

The online tool offers only the formats and resolutions the source returns. Higher bitrates or resolutions cannot be invented, so a quality the source does not provide will not appear.

Can I save private or sign-in-only videos?

The online tool only handles public links that need no sign-in. For content that requires a signed-in session, use the desktop app and configure it on your own device.

Does saving a Facebook video notify the author?

No. The server reads a public page without involving your account, and nothing is recorded on the post. It does not add engagement to the post either.

Can I save a video from a group?

Only posts in public groups that are visible without signing in. Private group links are invisible to public access. Where sign-in is required, use the desktop app and configure it on your own device.

Only save content you own or have permission to download.
